It's never too late.

It's never too late you know. That thing you've always wanted to do, no matter how you might have procrastinated over the years, and made up excuses as to why you can't actually do it (even though, hello, it's clearly burning in your heart, which means you're probably more equipped and even more capable of doing it than anyone else around you!) Anyway, I'm here today to tell you something. Friend, it's never too late. I had a conversation with someone very dear to me yesterday, we were talking about a particular vocation and their eyes lit up as they excitedly told me over and over "I would love to do that..." So I told them, it's not too late to start now!
God is outside of time, so there are no limits with him. Think about it. He has no limits, but we limit ourselves by making up silly deadlines, and then we feel completely overwhelmed when we don't meet them! I simply have to have a  <<insert here: college degree, house, husband, wife, baby, successful business, book published, investment property, round the world adventure>> by the time I'm 30 or I'm doomed! What the heck? Sometimes I think we are actually crazy. Anyway, I just want to encourage you today. Whatever is stirring in that beautiful heart of yours, don't doubt it or push it aside one more moment, God is stirring things within you, so stop and listen. It's never too late.
It's never too late to change careers.
It's never too late to fall in love.
It's never too late to travel.
It's never too late to buy a house.
It's never too late to be a mum or a dad.
It's never too late to move to another city.
It's never too late to start creating.
It's never too late to go on an adventure.
It's never too late to hear God's still small voice whispering secrets to you.

So friends, I want to take the pressure OFF you today. There are no time limits. And I want to release you. Today is a brand new day. You, my friend, have greatness inside of you. There are things locked up inside you that are bursting to come out, so listen to that still small voice and ask him to show you. Cos he will. Here is some encouragement for you... look at these amazing champions (hardly spring chickens!) and look what they achieved:

* Laura Ingles Wilder, author of Little House on the Prairie, published her first book at age 64.

* Nelson Mandela was elected President of South Africa when he was almost 76.

* Julia Child didn't learn to cook until age 40, and didn't begin her television program "Mastering the Art of French Cooking" until she was 51.

* Andrea Bocelli didn't begin singing opera seriously until he was 34.

* Peter Mark Roget published the first edition of Roget's thesaurus at age 73, and continued overseeing every update until age 90.

* Anna Mary Robert Moses, known as Grandma Moses, began painting at 76 and painted over a thousand paintings up until her passing at age 101.

So friends... my challenge to you is this: if it's tap tap tapping away inside your heart, do NOT be limited or held back by your age, by finance or by time.
It's time to jump.
Because...
As you always hear me say, be ready, because at any moment anything can happen, anything can change and in a split second the door of opportunity can swing right open in front of you. As I was writing this, I felt to say, if you feel stuck and you're not sure how to take the next step in chasing your dreams please feel free to leave me a comment or email me as I would love to encourage you!

God is cheering you on and so am I :)

Love Nat xoxo

Friday Fashionista :: { All Wrapped Up }

Bonjour et heureux vendredi mes amis! Just practicing my français he he :):) Happy Friday my friends! So after this week's freeeeeezing weather (yes I know I know it's hardly freezing compared to a lot of the world but hey, it's still pretty fresh!)... today's request is one thing we simply CANNOT live without at the moment! Serving multiple purposes; firstly it's a means of staying warm in cool weather, and secondly, (in my opinion), it's the "quintessential fall and winter fashion accessory". Ladies and gentlemen, I'm talking about The Scarf. So if you need some more "rug-up-and-look-fab" inspiration... here we go! Xx

I hope this scarf display has inspired your wardrobe :)
And to finish off here's Lenny sporting the largest scarf I've ever seen...
Happy Anzac Day my friends... I am marching with my Papa and remembering my Grandpa today. What a wonderful day this is. I love honouring these great men and women who fought so heroically for us. So if you see any of these faithful champions around town today why don't you stop and tell them just how amazing they are. :)

See you next week lovelies...

Be kind to yourself. :)

Hello my friends! I've missed you guys... how have you been? I hope you had a Happy Easter! What a special time it was... I watched most of The Passion of The Christ on Good Friday, I watch it every year. I love to really take that time to remember what he actually did for me. Ah, it messes me up every time, but then, I guess that's the point isn't it. ;) If you haven't watched it in a while, I highly recommend it. xox

So I've got something kinda funny to share. Last night, I picked up my little beach chair and sat in the garden in the rain. Do you ever do that? Sit in the rain? In the dark? It's not really the 'normal' thing to do is it? Well anyway, I did. My initial plan was to throw the ball for the dog quickly and then come inside. But as soon as I felt the rain on my face, it was like water to my soul. Literally. :) As I sat there, head facing up, eyes closed, I was thinking, "Should I go inside? Come on, this is a bit silly. I'm getting wet here." But then I thought, "Hello, what's the worst thing that can happen? = I get wet and I put a new jumper on." So basically, in the grand scheme of things... not that bad.
And the best thing that could happen was that I would be refreshed.
So I stayed... I just sat there in my backyard, in the dark, looking like this...
Those little droplets of rest and refreshing were just what I needed in that exact moment.
I was refreshed when I least expected it. So imagine what can happen when we actually expect to be refreshed?! What do you need at the moment? Rest? Joy? Faith? Refreshing? Healing? A good girly chat with a bestie? Well good news...
No matter what season, no matter what we are facing, no matter how busy and overwhelmed we may feel, he is always there to restore us!

So with his voice in mind, let me encourage you today.

1. Be kind to yourself.
Listen to your body and rest when you need to.

2. Expect to be refreshed.
Don't be so quick to dismiss surprise opportunities just because they may be 'out of the ordinary'.

3. Always listen to his leading.
Even if it is to dance in the rain!

Praying you have a beautiful day today, always listening for his voice as he cheers you on.

And a huge happy birthday to my Papa Fred who is turning 90 years old today! ;)
